Bring Your Expertise to Shape Digital Harm Reduction Quality Standards – Join the Delphi Study

Digital harm reduction services are rapidly evolving, with a growing diversity of services, digital spaces, practices, and communities. Yet, clear guidelines to help shape their design, implementation, and evaluation are missing. Without comprehensive standards, these services may struggle with effectiveness, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

By developing quality standards for Digital Harm Reduction Services as part of the BOOST project, we aim to provide community-based and community-led organisations with guidance and practical evaluative tools to deliver effective and reliable digital services for people who use drugs. These standards will address key areas such as ensuring privacy, promoting participant autonomy, balancing data availability with confidentiality, and improving accessibility and inclusivity.

To achieve this, we’re using a mix of methods, including reviewing existing resources and conducting a Delphi study—a structured process that gathers expert input. After completing a literature review (of existing grey literature, guidelines and academic publications related to digital harm reduction quality standards), we’re now launching the first round of the Delphi study to gather qualitative input from harm reduction experts.

Take part and help shape the future of digital harm reduction services!
